CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />JANUARY 12, 2004 <br /> <br />ORGANIZATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met for an organization session in Council <br />Chambers at City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. Mayor Charles Sisk called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and the following persons were present - <br /> <br />City Council: <br /> <br />Mayor Charles Sisk, Mayor Pro-Tem John Keany <br />Council members: Michele Van Pelt, Sheri Marsella, Don <br />Brown, Arnold Levihn and Dave Clabots <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager <br />Bruce Goodman, Police Chief <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director <br />Heather Balser, Assist. City Manager for Gov. Relations <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney <br />Nancy Varra, City Clerk <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />All rose for the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for changes to the agenda. Council member Brown moved the agenda <br />be approved. Council member Levihn seconded the motion. All in favor. <br /> <br />MAYOR - OATH OF OFFICE BY JUDGE BRUCE JOSS <br /> <br />Municipal Judge Bruce Joss swore in Charles Sisk to the office of Mayor. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk voiced his intention to make himself available to the public and to maintain <br />office hours. He outlined the Mayor and City Council's three goals: 1) Accessibility, 2) <br />Accountability, and 3) Activism. He pledged that Council would reach out to the <br />community and be involved in all aspects of local interest and concerns. He expressed his <br />desire to serve and represent the citizens of Louisville. Mayor Sisk introduced his family <br />members to Council and the audience. <br /> <br /> <br />
