TRANSCRIPTS ON THE MAMOTH WATER DEAL • , <br /> august ' 16, 1932 The reason of this meeting was to discuss , <br /> a letter of proposition which was: presented to the Board by W. H. , <br /> Bashor in regards to a certain water right, 150 acre of direct <br /> flow 200 acre of storage right in what is known as Mamoth Gulch _ <br /> in Gilpen County. After two and one half hours of -discussion a <br /> motion was made by James Ferrari seconded by Ellsberry that we accept <br /> W. H. 4ashor proposition tentatively upon the price and terms <br /> proposed by W. H. Bashor for- a water supply and all necessary <br /> ditches and works and water rights and easments and storage rights <br /> with the source of water from the western slope subject to the <br /> selection by the town of it choice of sights for storage as <br /> between the different one porposed and subject to the making of <br /> contract containing all the details necessary to vest such rights <br /> and 'properties in the town and the terms of payments. <br /> , August 19, 1932 Mr. Edward Affolter',prepared and read the <br /> contract for the water system which the town Board is investigating <br /> after some discussion a motion was made by Joe Ross seconded by <br /> James Ferrari that the contract with W. H. Bashor as prepared and <br /> laid before the board by the Town, Attorney Edw. Affolter be app. <br /> roved and the Mayor authorized execute the the samd in behalf of <br /> the Town under it esealand draft -being rewritten to correct type. <br /> ographical errors and filing of blank space from data to be <br /> furnished by, Mr. ChatfiO'ld and the inclusion of statement of one , <br /> year liability on the Bond provided therein and the necessary <br /> witness elause upon rol call. Basher $300.00 on the <br /> water propesition. <br /> Sept. 26, 1932 The first matter that. came Before the Board <br /> was Ordinance No. 172. An ordinance authorizing the creation of <br /> an indebtness upon behalf of .and,4estmlatie-e#.estle-e -14eupon the <br /> credit of the Town of Louisville and the issuance of sale of its <br /> bonds for the purpose of acquiring and additional supply of water <br /> for its municipal uses and the use of its inhabitants and to enlarge <br /> and extend its water system and increase its water storage 2acilities. <br /> Mr. Affolter stated due to'- the fact that it might be impossible to <br /> find enouch people to buy 15 one, thousand bonds and there might <br /> be a possibility that we may have to reissue the bonds. If the one <br /> thousand were not sold. He thought it advisable to draw up bonds c <br /> for $500.00 each and read the ordinance. <br /> rt was moved by Gutfelder seconded by Stevens- that weladopt <br /> ordinance No. 172 and have same published in Louisville mese <br /> upon roll call stevens aye, Ellsberry aye, Jenkins aye, Ross aye, <br /> Ferrari aye, and Gutfelder aye,, The mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> /1, <br /> statement from the Board that the Board of trustee of the Firemen <br /> pension fund have expressed there desire to purchase' up to Three <br /> atusand dollars of water bonds about to be issued by:the Town and <br /> e willing to adbance the sum of Two thousand' dollars prior to the <br /> issuance of the bonds to apply on the 'account of the contract of <br /> W. 'q. Bashor to wnable him to make payment to his contractor on <br /> account. Water bond to be delivered to, such beard when issued. <br /> It was maove -by Stevens seconded by Ferrari that the Town Treasurer <br /> be directed upon receipt of such 020000.00 from Firemans' Pension <br /> board to dispose of same as follows pay to the First State Bank _ <br /> of Louisville, Colorado the principal of $400.00 of W.
