ORDINANCE NO. 1293 <br />SERIES 1999 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE DESIGN HANDBOOK <br />FOR DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE, WHICH HANDBOOK INCLUDES <br />GENERAL STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR ALL DEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECTS IN DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE; AND AMENDING VARIOUS <br />PROVISIONS OF T1TLE 15 AND T1TLE 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCORPORATE THE DESIGN HANDBOOK FOR <br />DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE INTO THE CITY'S BUILDING, ZONING AND <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C.R.S. §31-23-301 et seq. authorizes the City to establish zoning districts <br />within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C.R.S. §24-67-101 et seq. authorizes the City to allow for planned unit <br />developments within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to such authorities, the City has established zoning districts, zoning <br />regulations and planned unit development regulations as codified in Title 17 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's planned unit development regulations require that all commercially <br />zoned areas and office zoned areas be developed as a PUD-C zone district, and that all industrial <br />areas be developed as a PUD-I zone district; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has developed and established, and continues to develop and <br />establish, development design standards and guidelines for commercial, office and industrial <br />development, consistent with the development plan criteria contained in Title 17 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt and incorporate into the Louisville <br />Municipal Code the Design Handbook for Downtown Louisville (the "Handbook"), which <br />Handbook includes development standards and guidelines for all development projects in <br />Downtown Louisville; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Downtown Louisville includes that certain Commercial Community (C-C) <br />zone district and that certain Commercial Business (C-B) zone district of the City which are <br />described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, and which are depicted on that <br />portion of the official zoning map of the City of Louisville that is attached hereto as Exhibit B and <br />incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development standards and guidelines contained in the Handbook are <br /> <br /> <br />
