<br />,~GULAR HEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JANUARY 5, 1982 <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. M.S.T. with the <br />following Council members present: Fauson, Cummings, DelPizzo, Brown, Meier, <br />and Domenico. Also present were: City j~dministrator Wurl, City Attorney <br />Rautenstraus, City Treasurer Hesson, Director of Community Development <br />Rupp, Director of Community Services Hioco, Director of Public Safety Leesman, <br />Chief Accountant Caranci, City Engineer Blanchard, Ken Huson, Engineer II, <br />Acting City Clerk Mudrock, Council members elect: Leary, Cussen and Ferrera. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci and council approved the <br />minutes of the regular meeting of December <br />15, 1981 as presented. <br /> <br />ITENS ENCLOSED <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved that the items en- <br />closed be accepted and brought up under the <br />proper head of business. Seconded by Council- <br />man Neier. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />ROYAL FOOD MART - 3.2% BEER <br />LICENSE - PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci opened the public hearing and <br />Attorney Rautenstraus certified proper pub- <br />lication and posting of the premises <br />Anyone supporting the application. <br /> <br />CALVIN LOGAN - REPRESENTATIVE <br /> <br />Mr. Calvin Logan of Royal Petroleum, 666 <br />Parklane, Lakewood, Colorado. The name <br />of the new business is Royal Food Mart, <br />and is located at the northeast corner <br />of Hiway 42 and South Boulder Road. It <br />consists of a self-service gasoline facility <br />with a convenience store selling pop, milk, <br />and 3.2% beer, as well as automotive and oil <br />products. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier <br /> <br />Expressed his concern regarding the dispensing <br />of the 3.2% beer due to lack of personnel <br />on the premises, fast service type operation, <br />etc. to be certain minors would not be served; <br />how did they intend to handle this problem. <br />Mr. Logan stated they double staff the first <br />and second shifts until midnight; then none <br />is sold after this according to the law. <br />The facility is approximately 300 s.f. and <br />mirrors are installed - the small area and <br />the double shifting controls well at their <br />other t"W'o establishments in Westminister and <br />Commerce City. <br />Their manager of this facility has been in <br />the industry for 16 years, has a training <br />program for the new people, and they have <br />never received a citation. <br />
