<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OCTOBER 7, 1980 <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- <br />ing Council members present: Fauson, Cu~nings, DelPizzo, Carnival, <br />Meier, and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City <br />Attorney Joss, City Treasurer Hesson, Dir.. Parks & Rec. Hioco, Dir. <br />Corom. Dev. Rupp, and City Clerk Stahl. Absent. Police Chief Leesman. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Carancj~ and Council approved the <br />minutes of the September 18, Council meeting <br />as presented ,. <br /> <br />ITEMS ENCLOSED <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved that the items <br />enclosed be accepted and brought up under <br />the proper head of business. Seconded <br />by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />COAL CREEK UPDATE <br />HOWARD BERRY <br />LON KNAPP <br /> <br />Members of the organization were unable to <br />attend, the item was tabled. <br /> <br />Howard Berry stated to Council that Erie <br />may be rejoining the Coal Creek Association. <br /> <br />Mr. Lon Knapp from Water & Power Resource <br />Service, stated that the studies are con- <br />tinuing on the Coal Creek site. <br />He noted that the Feasibility Level Design <br />was contracted out for the Coal Creek <br />site and it will take about 4 months to <br />complete. <br />One of the problems that is being studied <br />is the Marsha.ll Landfill problem of poss- <br />ible seepage from the dump into the water. <br /> <br />He stated tha.t if the feasibility design <br />study is completed on schedule, he hopes <br />to have a corn~lete report ready by October <br />1, 1981. <br /> <br />The design is for a 11,000 acre feet re- <br />sevoir. <br /> <br />Mr. Knapp stated that after the report is <br />completed, it goes to the Dept. of Interior <br />and from there, it goes to Congress where <br />it has to be authori~d as a federal pro- <br />ject, and it then has to be funded by the <br />president or the executive branch. <br /> <br />Mr. Knapp stated that the Crescent site <br />is an alternate site, but they were con- <br />tinuing with the Coal Creek site. <br />
