REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 7, 1980 Mayor Caranci called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- ing Council members present: Fauson, Cu~nings, DelPizzo, Carnival, Meier, and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Joss, City Treasurer Hesson, Dir.. Parks & Rec. Hioco, Dir. Corom. Dev. Rupp, and City Clerk Stahl. Absent. Police Chief Leesman. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Carancj~ and Council approved the minutes of the September 18, Council meeting as presented ,. ITEMS ENCLOSED Councilman Fauson moved that the items enclosed be accepted and brought up under the proper head of business. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. COUNCIL ITEMS KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS PRESENTATION COAL CREEK UPDATE HOWARD BERRY LON KNAPP Members of the organization were unable to attend, the item was tabled. Howard Berry stated to Council that Erie may be rejoining the Coal Creek Association. Mr. Lon Knapp from Water & Power Resource Service, stated that the studies are con- tinuing on the Coal Creek site. He noted that the Feasibility Level Design was contracted out for the Coal Creek site and it will take about 4 months to complete. One of the problems that is being studied is the Marsha.ll Landfill problem of poss- ible seepage from the dump into the water. He stated tha.t if the feasibility design study is completed on schedule, he hopes to have a corn~lete report ready by October 1, 1981. The design is for a 11,000 acre feet re- sevoir. Mr. Knapp stated that after the report is completed, it goes to the Dept. of Interior and from there, it goes to Congress where it has to be authori~d as a federal pro- ject, and it then has to be funded by the president or the executive branch. Mr. Knapp stated that the Crescent site is an alternate site, but they were con- tinuing with the Coal Creek site.
