<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 20, 1977 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with <br />ing Council members present: Domenico, DiLorenzo, Caranci, <br />and Dhieux. Absent: Councilman DiCarlo. Others present: <br />istrator Wurl, City Attorney Joss, City Planner Drumm, City <br />Hesson and City Clerk Santilli. <br /> <br />the follow- <br />DelPizzo <br />City Admin- <br />Treasurer <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak and council approved the <br />minutes as read. <br /> <br />ENCLOSURERS <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that enclosurers <br />be accepted and brought up under the pro- <br />per head of business. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman DiLorenzo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />STREET OVERLAY PROJECT <br />AWARD BID <br /> <br />Councilman DiLorenzo moved that Flatiron <br />Paving be awarded the bid in the amount of <br />$59,027 for the street overlay project. <br />Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. <br />Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, <br />Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />1978 BUDGET <br />PUBLIC HEARING DATE SET <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the 1978 <br />Budget public hearing be set for October <br />4, 1977, at 8:00 P.M. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />BARBARA MC DONALD <br />COUNCIL PETITION <br /> <br />Barbara McDonald requested that Council <br />inform her as to whether she will be eligible <br />to run for councilman of Ward III which <br />she recently moved in to. <br />It was stated by Mrs. McDonald that the <br />state statutes require one year residency <br />in a ward; however, the City requires only <br />32 days to be eligible to run. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he did not think it <br />was Council's decision. <br />Attorney Joss stated that the questions is <br />put to the City Clerk: the reason that it <br />might be brought to Council is because <br />Council is the ultimate election judge <br />at their own elections by State law. <br />Councilman Caranci stated that the Municipal <br />League states that all municipal elections <br />shall be held and conducted in accordance <br />with the Colorado Municipal Election Laws, <br />which states that a candidate must have <br />resided in the municipality and ward at <br />least 12 consecutive months which ever the <br />case may be. <br />
