REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE Crry COUNCIL MAY 17, 1977 Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following Councilmembers present: Caranci, DiCarlo, McDonald, and DelPizzo. Councilman Domenico arrived at 7:40 P.M. Absent: City Treasurer Hesson and Councilman DiLorenzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Engineer White, City Planner Drumm and City Clerk Santilli. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of the May 3, 1977, council meeting as presented. COUNCIL ITEMS PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT It was noted that there were four persons applying for the vacancy of the Planning Commission board: Mae Toledo, Jennifer Kissel, Dianne Kedro and Bob Connors. Councilman Caranci moved that Bob Connors be appointed to fill the vacancy made by Jake Thomas on the Board. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Counci~man DelPizzo stated that he felt the entire council should be in attendance to vote. With no other comments roll call was taken: Caranci yes, McDonald yes, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo no. Motion carried. -Councilman Domenico now in attendance. FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE DISTRICT REVIEW Thomas Poydock, Fire Chief, reviewed the proposed boundaries of their fire district stating the areas included are already areas that the fire department services when necessary. Shannon Estates is also included as it was approximately 70% of the homeowners request that they be in- cluded in the Louisville Fire District area. The area did not include Superior as they have their own department. Councilman DelPizzo stated that the dis- trict should cover through the Davidson Mesa instead of only a part of it. Mr. Poydock stated that the entire pro- posed area is within the City Comprehensive Plan and that the area on the Davidson Mesa is divided at the passing line on South 80th. After discussion Mr. Poydock asked about the sales of the fire equipment which the City now has.
