<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Louisville City Council <br /> <br />May 1, 1973 <br /> <br />feeting was called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci at 7:00 p.m. with <br />Councilman King, Deborski, Donovan, Scholl, Domenico, City Administrator Wur1, <br />City Attorney Morris, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk McNulty present. <br />Absent - Councilman Jensen. <br /> <br />Councilman King moved that minutes of May 17th be approved as presented. <br />Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: Councilman King moved that correspondence be brought up <br />under proper heading of business. Seconded by Councilman <br />Domenico. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />LURA 2ND YEAR <br />ACTION PROGRAM: <br /> <br />"TJARKS & REC- <br />~\.EATION <br /> <br />LOUISVIEW <br />ANNEXATION <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ifr4l5 <br />ZONING <br /> <br />Second action year :program presented by Chairman Dennis Lund- <br />berg, Executive Director Bob Davis and Steve Ferris, who re- <br />ported they had tied together all loose ends of the first <br />action year. Seventy-five houses included in workload first <br />year - one completed. Eleven houses under construction. <br />Councilman King moved to authorize Mayor and City Clerk to <br />sign proposed agreement to enter into the cooperation with <br />Louisville Urban Renewal Authority. Mayor opened Public <br />Hearing on 2nd action year program - no questions presented. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Domenico. Roll call vote - <br />Deborski aye, King aye, Donovan aye, Scholl aye, Domenico <br />aye. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chairman Keith Helart reported that the City has received <br />Federal Grant for Parks & Recreation. It will be in the <br />Fall before money can be allocated. Chairman Helart requested <br />that a real estate transfer tax be put into Ordinance form <br />for future consideration by City Council. <br />Attorney Morris suggested condition be imposed on developers <br />coming into the City as to the donation of money for various <br />parks improvements. Requested Ordinance be ready in rough <br />form for study at next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Marc DeMarco submitted the proposed Louisview annexation at <br />80th and South Boulder Road"" for preliminary review. He in- <br />dicated that they were also negotiating for the possible <br />acquisition of Continental View Estates as relates to this <br />annexation - when the City is able to supply sifficient water <br />possibly in two or three years. <br />Councilman King stated he did not like the direction of growth, <br />all developments along South Boulder Road which will con- <br />tribute to the existing traffic problems. It will put us <br />over the capactiy on water and sewer plants, and I would <br />rather see annexation that would carry Parkwood to the South. <br /> <br />An Ordinance amending Chapter 25 of the Municipal C?de of <br />the City of Louisville entitled "Zoning" by zoning the <br />property annex.ed to the City of Louisville by Ordinance No.4l4 <br />as petitioned by Lowell Blvd. Corp. Councilman King moved <br />that Ordinance #415 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br />Deborski. Roll call vote - Deborski aye, King aye, Donovan aye, <br />Scholl aye, Domenico aye. Motion carried. <br />
