He expressed Louisville's pride in having such a unique educator in <br /> the community. <br /> Mayor Sisk thanked Mr. Fels for being part of a long line of Louisville Middle <br /> School principals so involved in community issues. <br /> Mr. Fels invited Council and staff to visit the school at any time. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 46, SERIES 2006 - A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LOUISVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND <br /> THE STATE BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO TRUST <br /> FUND (GOCO) <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> Finance Director Patty Leslie reported the City of Louisville has worked on a <br /> collaborative application to receive grant funds from the Great Outdoors <br /> Colorado on a Louisville Elementary School project. In June of 2006 the City was <br /> notified of a $25,000 grant award under GOCO grant #06345. The Local <br /> Government grant agreement will need to be signed by the Mayor and the <br /> resolution provides City Council with a method to approve the execution of the <br /> grant agreement. City Staff is working with representatives from Louisville <br /> Elementary School to obtain timelines and budgets for the project. Those have <br /> not changed since the original grant application. The original application, <br /> timeline, and budgets will be attachE~d to the grant agreement prior to approval by <br /> the Mayor. <br /> Staff recommended Council approval of Resolution No. 46, Series 2006 - A <br /> Resolution Supporting the Agreement between Louisville Elementary School and <br /> the State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Trust Fund. <br /> Mayor Sisk requested public comment. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> Council Member Brown inquired as to the grant's specific project. Leslie <br /> responded a Louisville Elementary playground and children's park. <br /> Council Member Brown commented the grant money is always a good thing and <br /> encouraged the continued practice of seeking grants when possible. <br />
