Davidson explained that the road is being closed by the railroad, over which the City has
no regulatory authority. The railroad does not need the City's permission, nor do they ask
for it. He stated that, while he agrees with Harper, there is a State law that allows the
railroad to so.

Lyle French, 174 Cherrywood Lane, Louisville, stated that he came before Council six
years ago in support of the Catholic Church purchasing the property at McCaslin and Via
Appia. He urged Council and the St. Louis Catholic Church to maintain what they had
planned before and to keep that property, as the people who live around it understood it
was going to be.

Elizabeth Griffin, 941 Cypress Lane, Louisville expressed concern for what is happening
to the property at McCaslin and Via Appia, as it abuts her property. She stated that she
would appreciate the Catholic Church reconsidering what they are doing.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

Howard asked to address the public comments. He stated that his position is, and has
always been, that this property would be for a church, rectory, and school. He explained
that Council, however, couldn't guarantee this. He stated that Council could guarantee
that the contract between the State, the master developer, and the City would be adhered
to. Howard stated that the Church, as landowner, could sell the property but he hopes that
they will find it an acceptable site for a church.

Davidson stated that if Council does receive a proposal, they would make sure that the
Cherrywood II homeowners are informed prior to any City Council meetings.

PRESENTATION - BARRIE HARTMANN - RECOGNITION OF
ACHIEVEMENT

Davidson presented Barrie Hartmann with a proclamation of recognition for being
awarded the Colorado Press Association Newspaper Person of the Year.

Hartmann thanked Council for this recognition and expressed his support and
appreciation, as a citizen of Louisville, for City Council.

Sisk stated that Mary Hartmann should also be recognized for her vital contributions to
this partnership. He expressed pride in the outstanding residents of Louisville.

PRESENTATION - CENTAURUS WARRIORS - 1998-99 STATE 5A
WRESTLING TEAM CHAMPIONS

Davidson presented Coach Craig Walters with a proclamation of recognition for the
Centaurus Warrior Wrestling Team's State 5A Team Championship.

4
