MEMBERS OF THE AUTHORITY 2024 <br />Elizabeth Kaufman — Chair <br />Mike Crowe — Vice Chair <br />John Carlson <br />Marguerite Lipton <br />Matt Machado <br />Vacant - Associate Member Position <br />Attorney to the Authority <br />Secretary to the Authority <br />Police Department Representative <br />Local Licensing Authority <br />2024 Annual Report <br />January 29, 2025 <br />Page 2of3 <br />Melinda Gulley, Kelly P.C. <br />Genny Kline, Deputy City Clerk <br />Sergeant Ben Kurtz <br />ACTION ITEMS <br />The Authority held 10 regularly scheduled meetings in 2024. <br />The Authority took the following actions in 2024: <br />• Renewal of Established Liquor Licenses — 62 <br />• Approval of New Liquor Licenses — 7 <br />• Transfer of Ownership for Liquor License — 6 <br />• Special Event Liquor Licenses — 12 <br />• Renewal of Established Marijuana Licenses — 6 <br />• Transfer of a Retail Marijuana License — 1 <br />• Retail Liquor Permits - 1 <br />• Surrender of Liquor License — 2 <br />• Tasting Permits Issued — 0 <br />• Show Cause Hearings — 0 <br />The Authority worked with 11 downtown restaurants to provide alcohol service on <br />street patios and parklets starting in April through early November. <br />The Authority reviewed changes to the Louisville Municipal Code and <br />recommended to Council updates that included allowing biennial renewals for <br />both liquor and marijuana licensees and several changes to the marijuana code <br />to align with new state regulations. <br />
