1/21/25, 10:05 AM Louisville, CO Code of Ordinances <br />Barbers and cosmetologists duly licensed under the laws of this state in the course of the practice of their <br />usual and ordinary licensed vocation and profession, as defined in C.R.S. § 12-8-101 et seq.; <br />D. Massage practiced at the athletic department or training rooms of public or private schools <br />accredited by the state board of education or approved by the division charged with the <br />responsibility of approving private occupational schools; <br />E. Hospitals, clinics, nursing and convalescent homes, and other similar health care institutions <br />dedicated to medical or nursing practices licensed under the laws of this state; <br />F. A facility operated for the purpose of massage therapy by a massage therapist; <br />G. Training rooms of recognized professional or amateur athletic teams. <br />(Code 1977, § 5.16.020; Ord. No. 1047-1991, § 1) <br />Sec. 5.16.030. - License required. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, association, firm, or corporation to render or to permit to <br />be engaged in, conducted, provided or carried on, in or upon any premises within the city, the business of a <br />massage parlor within the city without first obtaining a license issued pursuant to the provisions of this <br />chapter. <br />(Code 1977, § 5.16.030; Ord. No. 532-1977, § 1.1; Ord. No. 1047-1991, § 1) <br />Sec. 5.16.040. - Application —Fee. <br />A. Any person, firm, partnership, association, or corporation seeking to obtain a massage parlor <br />license shall make application to the city clerk. <br />B. Each application for a new license filed with the city clerk shall be accompanied by an application <br />fee in the amount as established by resolution of the city council. <br />(Code 1977, § 5.16.040; Ord. No. 1594-2011, § 11, 6-7- <br />2011) <br />Sec. 5.16.050. - Application contents. <br />Each application for a new license for a massage parlor must contain the following information: <br />A. The full name and present address of the operator; and, if a corporation, partnership, firm or <br />association, the names and residence addresses of all owners, officers, and directors of the <br />such massage parlor; <br />B. The age of each person listed on the application; <br />C. A physical description and recent photograph of each person listed on the application; <br />D. <br />about:blank 2/5 <br />
