during budget negotiations, it was agreed that, should money become available this year,
the very next priority was to install the lights at the tennis courts. He expressed support
for the request.

Howard thanked Jon Buri and the Centennial Valley Tennis Association for their
patience. He commended them for approaching Council in a forthright manner each year
with this request. He expressed support for the request, as it would benefit the residents
of Louisville and the Centennial Valley Tennis Association.

Mayer questioned why this project wasn't included in last year's budget and stated that
he had asked that it be included. He stated that the initial price for the project was
estimated at $80,000 and asked why the price is now much lower.

Baysinger replied that he was uncertain for the fluctuation in pricing. He stated that he
obtained pricing information directly from the vendors last week.

Mayer stated that, had Council obtained an accurate price, this project could have been
funded before.

Baysinger replied that the previous prices were obtained in the same manner, therefore,
he felt that they were accurate for that time.

Mayer reminded Baysinger that last year's price quote was $80,000.

Baysinger agreed with Mayer and stated that the current prices reflect quotes obtained
last week.

Keany asked Baysinger for clarification that the lights would be controlled from inside
the Recreation Center.

Baysinger replied, no. However, he explained that there are several options, such as
placing the lights on sensors, on coin-operated timers, or allow them to be manually
operated at the tennis courts. He recommended that Council consider coin-operated
timers, possibly charging a quarter for their use, as this would result in the lights only
being on when in use.

Keany agreed with Baysinger. He expressed concern that the lights not be on after a set
time in the evening.

Baysinger agreed with Keany and explained that a curfew of ten o'clock or ten-thirty has
been suggested.

Keany asked for clarification that there would be a master cut-off switch inside the
Recreation Center to cut the lights at a pre-determined time.
