The
current agreement was adopted in 1996, with the primary intent to preserve the buffers
between the two communities in order to maintain each of their unique identities. He
stated that the agreement was amended in 1997 in relation to the Callahan open space
purchase and some single family lots that were created as a result of the purchase. The
second amendment would remove a ten-acre parcel that is located on the north side of
Dillon Road and owned by Rocky and Janice Haight and currently designated as rural
preservation.
