Council has another room for meetings. Davidson asked if anyone would be opposed to <br />including the Library expansion in with Capital Projects for 2000. <br /> <br />No one was opposed. <br /> <br />Keany questioned whether there was a.typographical error in the Capital Projects 2000 <br />numbering, as the Levels are numbered I, II, IV. <br /> <br />Council agreed that the Levels should read I, II, III. <br /> <br />Davidson questioned the goal of installing a Library protection system at a cost of <br />$38,000 and requested information regarding the theft rate as a protection may or may <br />not be needed. He suggested changing the word install to evaluate. <br /> <br />Keany suggested also including the task of performing a full Library inventory. <br /> <br />Davidson replied that a sampling inventory would be sufficient and suggested that it read <br />evaluate by means of inventory. <br /> <br />Levihn asked for clarification that Council discussed contracting for an arborist/forester, <br />versus adding an FTE for one. <br /> <br />Howard replied that staff felt that with the number of trees in the medians and parks, etc., <br />an arborist/forester would be a continuing need. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that he believes the arborist/forester was a full-time position but Council <br />discussed contracting for a wildlife biologist. <br /> <br />Keany asked for clarification that the funding for an open space/parks task force included <br />performing a wildlife inventory. <br /> <br />Davidson suggested that the task force should be an Open Space/Parks/Trails/Wildlife <br />Task Force. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />Davidson suggested adding a goal to the City Administrator's Tasks, as a Level II. He <br />requested adding an evaluation of the Louisville Housing Authority's contract with <br />Boulder County to determine if the services should be done in-house. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council adopt the Proposed 2000 Goals, as amended, seconded by <br />Sisk.
