<br /> reason of its position, size, shape or color, it may obstruct, impair, <br /> obscure, interfere with the view of, or be confused with, any traffic <br /> control sign, signal or device, or may it interfere with, mislead or <br /> confuse traffic. <br /> C. No sign shall be located in any vision clearance area. <br /> D. Signs shall be permitted only on the same lot or lots <br /> of the permitted advertised use, and only where clearly incidental, <br /> customary or commonly associated with the operation of the permitted <br /> use. <br /> 17.24.080 Requirements for Specific Types of Signs <br /> A. Illuminated signs - illuminated signs shall be shaded <br /> wherever necessary to avoid casting bright light upon property located <br /> in any residential district or area or upon any public street, park, <br /> public facility, or hospital facility. <br /> B. Flashing or Moving Signs - No flashing signs, rotating <br /> or moving signs, animated signs, signs with moving lights or signs <br /> which create the illusion of movement shall be permitted. A sign <br /> whereon the current time and/or temperature is indicated by inter- <br /> mittent lighting shall not be deemed to be a flashing sign. <br /> C. Fabric Signs - Fabric Signs for Commercial purposes may <br /> be permitted for grand openings or similar occasions but shall be <br /> moved within thirty days from the date installed, but only one fabric <br /> sign per applicant shall be allowed in anyone calendar year. <br /> 17.24.090 Height Regulations <br /> A. The maximum height of a sign in each zoning district <br /> shall be as follows: <br /> l. A: 10 feet <br /> 2. R-R, R-E, R-L, R-M, R-H: 10 feet <br /> 3. 0: 10 feet <br /> 4. C-N, C-C, C-B, I: 25 feet except for a <br /> ground sign whose maximum height shall be 14 <br /> feet and a wall sign whose maximum height shall <br /> not exceed 2 feet above the wall to which it is <br /> attached or exceed 25 feet above the ground <br /> whichever is less. <br /> -11- <br />
