Any request for an increase in the maximum allowable <br /> height must be specifically approved by the Planning Commission of <br /> the City of Louisville through the same procedure set for approval <br /> of a special review use. <br /> 17.24.100 Maximum allowable Area for Sign Face <br /> A. The maximum allowable area on the face of a sign in each <br /> zoning district shall be as follows: <br /> l. A: 100 square feet <br /> 2. R-R, R-E, R-L, R-M, R-H: <br /> a. Nameplate signs, two square feet; <br /> b. Identification signs, thirty-two square feet; <br /> c. Real estate slgn, six square feet; provided <br /> that one project sign not more than one hundred <br /> square feet in area announcing the sale of lots <br /> and/or houses in a subdivision may be located on <br /> such development. Such signs shall be removed <br /> when 80% of the lots and/or houses in the sub- <br /> division have been sold; <br /> d. Construction signs, twenty square feet; <br /> e. Business signs, not permitted in residential <br /> districts; <br /> 3. 0, C-N: 100 square feet except the maximum <br /> allowable gross surface area for a suspended sign <br /> shall be 10 square feet total surface area and 5 <br /> square feet per face and the maximum gross surface <br /> area for a wall sign shall be 16 square feet. <br /> 4. C-C, C-B, I: one square foot for the first one <br /> hundred lineal feet of building frontage plus one <br /> square foot for each two lineal feet of building <br /> frontage up to 200 square feet maximum except a <br /> suspended sign shall not exceed 10 square feet in <br /> total surface area, nor five square feet per face. <br /> B.
