vii.Pursue funding by leveraging all possible fund sources, including the City’s Capital Improvement Project budget. C.Step 3. Complete Hwy. 42 i.Seek funds from Boulder County and CDOT for preliminary design. ii.Contribute input as a stakeholder to the corridor plan, which shall include design, right-of-way, and preliminary engineering. iii.Create an email group to maintain communication with property owners. iv.Ensure that the plan will: 1.accommodate all transportation modes. 2.include signature elements that showcase gateways to the City at Pine and Hwy 42 and possibly other entry points. 3.include a traffic signal at Short Street for access to FasTracks parking. D.Step 4. Extend downtown business along Pine Street to Hwy 42 i.Enhance Pine Street as a gateway to Historic downtown, through entry signs, pedestrian improvements, streetscape landscaping, other methods. ii.When appropriate, and working with landowners, encourage development consistent with zoning classifications. E.Step 5. Fine-tune Revitalization Area development requirements i.Work with property owners as they begin to plan their sites to identify barriers to development that may exist in the mixed use design standards and guidelines. ii.Assist with the planning and evaluation of infrastructure needs, including iii.Flood Plain Mitigation, iv.Connectivity and access between the core area within the Hwy. 42 corridor and the South Boulder Road properties, along Hwy. 42, v.Water, Sewer, Storm Sewer, vi.Beautification opportunities, vii.Enhancement at the Pine Street entrance at the Hwy. 42 corridor, viii.Multi-model access to include pedestrian, bike, bus and access/connections, ix.Adjustments to width, access and signalization along Hwy. 42, and Other infrastructure issues impeding development.
