APPLICATION: Applicants will be required to. make <br />applicatian an special farms furnished to. them by the City Adminis- <br />tratar's affice ar fram the Department Head and furnish such infarma- <br />tian as requeste~by the-farms. ---- <br /> <br />2 B-3. TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES: Emplayees who. are assigned to. <br />wark an a specific assignment and/ar far a specific periad af time <br />which is af limited duratian ar cansidered temparary emplayees, and <br />are nat entitled to. any benefits except as specifically stated ather- <br />wise. <br /> <br />2 C-l. ONE YEAR PROBATION PERIOD: All new emplayees af the <br />City af Lauisville;-Gr current emplayees who. are transferred, are sub- <br />ject to. a ane year prabatianary periad, during which time the emplayee's <br />perfarmance is subject to. a perfarmance review an his review date as <br />to. his campetency to. carry aut the assignments af the pasitian. The <br />emplayee may be dismissed at any time during his prabatian periad by <br />the Department Head ar City Administratar, as applicable. The praba- <br />tianary periad shall-na~be limited to. the first step in any pay grade, <br />but shall be applicable to. any step at which the emplayee is initially <br />hired. <br />The prabatianary periad begins an the emplayee's effective <br />date as defined herein. An emplayee may be dismissed at any time <br />duringhis prabatianary periad, praviding the Department Head submits <br />a Persannel Actian Farm to. the City Administratar stating the reasans <br />far the actian. The Department Head shall determine if an emplayee has <br />successfully campleted their prabatianary periad. The Department Head <br />shall have the aptian af extending the prabatianary periad far ~ periad <br />nat to. exceed three manths if circumstances warrant. <br />- -- - An emplayee who. accepts ~ transfer to. anather paisitian <br />waives any rights they might have to. later return to. their previaus <br />emplayment pasitia~ --- ---- - -- - -- - <br /> <br />2 C-2. ANNUAL PERFOm~NCE REVIEW DATE: At nat mare than <br />twelve manth intervars-follawing campletian af the prabatianary periad, <br />the emplayee's perfarmance will be subject to. review. (Remainder af <br />paragraph deleted) <br /> <br />CHAPTER III <br /> <br />No. changes <br /> <br />CHAPTER IV <br /> <br />4 A-2. AMENDHENTS TO PAY PLAN: Amendments to. the pay plan <br />may be recammended by the CityAdministratar to. the City Cauncil when <br />changes in any ane af the abave stated seven canditians plus ather <br />pertinent canditians, such as recruiting experience, became-apparent. <br />Such amendments may be appraved by resalutian af City Cauncil. <br /> <br />4 C-l. SALARY INCREASES: Salary increases ather than merit <br />increases shall be based an budgeted funds being available-by the-- <br />City Cauncil and upan the recammendatian af the Department Head and <br />City Administratar. <br /> <br />4 C-2. CERTIFICATIONS OF INCREASES: At least fifteen <br />days befare an autharized salary increase faran emplayee, the <br />Department Head shall submlt~the City Administratar a persannel <br />actian and evaluatian farm far the emplayee. <br /> <br />4 C-3. MERIT INCREASES: In additian to. salary increases <br />as described under secticmi C-l, if the City Administratar ar <br />Department Head wishes to. recagnize the effarts af an autstanding <br />emplayee by a merit increase, said merit increase shall be granted <br />anly upan appraval bY-the City Administratar, and pravided said <br />me~it increase is within the appraved budget af the department. <br /> <br />4 E-l.
