A Boulder area <br />resident has offeredaSinger hemstitching sewing machinefrom the early 1900s <br />used by Josephine GuenziofLouisville until around the time of her death in 1963. <br />Pat Seaderstated that sheremembersher mothertaking pillow cases to Josephine <br />for hemstitching. After discussion about the size of the donation, whether the <br />Museum has adequate storage space, and how it is different fromthe other sewing <br />machine in the collection, it was decided to makea final decisionatthenext <br />meeting. Bridget is toobtain more information about the machine. <br />3.Museum Coordinator’s Report: Bridget brought up the cancellation of the Holiday <br />Home Tour for this year (as mentionedin her written report) and explained the <br />reasoning behind this decision. It had been hoped that a qualified volunteer would <br />willing to take on most of the responsibilities of organizing the event, but she has <br />not been able to find such a person.Bridgetsaid that she hoped that it would not <br />be a wasted year and suggested that Commission members make a coordinated <br />effort to goon home tours in nearby communities this year so thatinformation can <br />be collected that would help the organization ofthe LouisvilleHome Tour in the <br />future. <br />Bridget recommended Brian Chamberlin for apresentation at Anthem Ranch. He <br />gave a presentation on Lafayette historyand it was well received. <br />th <br />Bridget noted that the25Anniversary of the Museumwill be this Labor Day <br />Weekend. Further discussion about activities to commemorate will take place in the <br />next meeting. <br />The April 5 Brown Bag presentation aboutMain Street given by Bridgetwas well <br />attended and well received. <br />Reminder: Study Session with City Council tentatively scheduled for June 14, 2011 <br />D. <br /> <br />
