Subsection B of Section 15.12.050 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 12. Subsections B, C and G of Section 15.12.070 of <br />the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows <br />(words to be deleted are stricken through; words to be added are <br />capi talized) : <br /> <br />15.12.070 Placement of Fire Hydrants. <br /> <br />B. In a residential area, there shall be no more <br />than five hundred feet of vehicle travel distance, [~L~ <br />Cl(.(.~;:,;:, J.~;:,Lau~~, between hydrants. No residential unit <br />shall be more than two hundred fifty feet of vehicle <br />travel distance, [~LI= a~~~;:,;:, J.~;:,Lau~~, from the nearest <br />hydrant. <br /> <br />C. In multifamily, industrial, business or <br />commercial areas, there shall be no more than three <br />hundred feet of vehicle travel distance, [~L~ ac~~;:,;:, <br />d~;:,Lau~~, between hydrants. No building shall be more <br />than one hundred fifty feet of vehicle travel distance7 <br />[~L~ a~~~;:,;:, J.~;:,Lauc~, from the nearest hydrant. <br /> <br />G. The minimum required residual pressure for a <br />water supply to any given area shall be 20 psi. In the <br />event that a minimum water pressure of 20 psi can not be <br />obtained in any given area, larger water mains shall be <br />installed with closer than the required minimum spacing <br />of fire hydrants to increase flow ~L~;:';:'UL~. <br /> <br />Section 13. Chapter 15.12 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />is amended by the addition of a new Section 15.12.080 to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />15.12.080 Violation and penalties. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or <br />corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, <br />move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, <br />occupy or maintain any building or structure or cause or <br />permit the same to be done in violation of the provisions <br />of this chapter or the terms of the code adopted and <br />incorporated herein.
