Section 15.28.010 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reEmacted, with amendments, to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />15.28.010 Adoption. <br /> <br />The Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br />Buildings, 1997 Edition, published by the International <br />Conference of Building Officials, 5360 Workman Mill Road, <br />Whittier, California, 90601, is hereby adopted by <br />reference thereto and incorporated into and made a part <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code as the dangerous <br />building code of the city. The purpose and subj ect <br />matter of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br />Buildings include the provision of just, equitable and <br />practical procedures for the classification and abatement <br />of dangerous buildings. Except as otherwise provided <br />herein, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br />Buildings, 1997 Edition, is adopted in full, including <br />the outline of contents and index contained therein. Any <br />reference to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of <br />Dangerous Buildings within this chapter shall be to the <br />1997 Edition of said code. <br /> <br />Section 15. Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />amended by the addition of a new Chapter 15.36 to read as follows: <br /> <br />Chapter 15.36 <br /> <br />UNIFORM CODE FOR BUILDING CONSERVATION <br /> <br />15.36.010 Adoption. <br /> <br />The Uniform Code for the Building Conservation, <br />1997 Edition, published t~ the International Conference <br />of Building Officials, 5360 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, <br />California, 90601, is hereby adopted by reference thereto <br />and incorporated into and made a part of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code. The purpose and subject matter of the <br />Uniform Code for the Building Conservation include the <br />provision of standards for changes of occupancy and <br />alterations or repairs of existing buildings and <br />structures which encourage the continued use or reuse of <br />legally existing buildings and structures. Except as <br />otherwise provided herein, the Uniform Code for Building <br />Conservation, 1997 Edition, is adopted in full, including <br />the outline of contents and index contained therein.
