The project is funded through the Utility Enterprise Fund, Raw Water <br /> Facilities Plan. $200,000 was budgeted for this project with $74,730.00 being <br /> encumbered by this agreement. Additionally, staff requests $7,500.00 for project <br /> contingency and $5,000 for miscellaneous ancillary projects cost. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Marsella inquired whether this project was reviewed by the Water <br /> Committee. <br /> Public Works Director Phare confirmed the Facility Plan was discussed with the Water <br /> Committee and the proposals were presented. <br /> Councilor Muckle stated the Water Committee has not reviewed the final choice, but the <br /> committee believes this is a very good plan. He asked why the Marshall Lake water <br /> quality was not a part of the plan. Public Works Director Phare explained the water <br /> quality issues may be handled by the water plant or lake management. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Marsella asked if there is public input on such a technical project. <br /> Planning Director Phare stated the public input may be in the form of a survey. <br /> MOTION: Councilor Muckle moved to approve the agreement between City of Louisville <br /> and Hatch Mott Macdonald, LLC for consulting services, seconded by Councilor Dalton. <br /> Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 5 -0. Absent: Mayor Sisk and <br /> Councilor Sackett. <br /> BI- MONTHLY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Marsella requested a Staff presentation <br /> Economic Development Director Star updated Council on the development in June and <br /> July as follows: <br /> Sam's Club. The commercial real estate firm of CBRE was awarded the property <br /> listing by Wal -Mart in mid -May. <br /> Cabela's has announced they will not build on a site in Wheat Ridge and instead <br /> propose to build two smaller stores in the metro area. Many cities will be <br /> competing for those sights. <br /> Safeway. (Village Square Shopping Center). A Boulder developer has submitted <br /> a preliminary plan for the Planning Commission review on September 8. <br /> Business Assistance Agreements Babolat has signed a lease with Etkin <br /> Johnson for 80,000 square feet in the building at 1775 Cherry in the CTC. <br /> Ricco's is under lease for space at 318 McCaslin. The Allen Company has <br /> submitted a building permit for the buildings in CTC. Biodesix is still searching for <br />
