<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 6, 2007 <br />Page 11 of 18 <br /> <br />City Attorney Light also requE!sted two housekeeping items: In Paragraph 7, add <br />a reference to the state Libralry Law; and in Section 16 revise the phrase to add a <br />cross-reference to the added right to terminate, pursuant to Section 48. He also <br />suggested that Paragraph 68 should include language providing that there is to <br />be a study of the potential payment over the 2008 payment minimum of $105,000 <br />prior to the due date of that 21008 payment. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle withdrew his amendment. <br /> <br />Council members Brown and Muckle accepted the suggested housekeeping <br />amendments and revisions. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light stated for the record that the motion includes approval of <br />Resolution No. 10, Series 2007, which would approve the IGA, and will be <br />revised to reflect the noted modifications. Council members Brown and Muckle <br />acknowledged that was the intent of the motion. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk recognized the Library Board of Trustees for their work on the <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Brown recognized Superior Mayor Pro Tern Imbierowitz, and <br />members of the City Council and City Staff. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk also recognized Superior Mayor Muckle. <br /> <br />APPROVE COAL CREEI< GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT <br />EXTENSION ""1TH WESTERN GOLF PROPERTIES <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Land Management Director Hobson explained since 2001 the Coal Creek Golf <br />Course has been managed by Western Golf Properties, which also manages 15 <br />other golf courses throughoujt the United States. Western Golf Properties is <br />currently operating under a one-year contract extension of a three-year contract <br />signed in 2003. Staff is proposing a three-year contract extension with Western <br />Golf Properties with an increase of $6,000 annually to their management fee. <br />The current annual fee of $90,000 has not been increased since 2003. <br /> <br />During the past year, with input from City Staff, Western Golf has hired a new <br />Director of Golf and promoted the Peak Player Club. Eric Jensen, the new <br />Director of Golf, has received high marks for his attention to customer service <br />and attention to golf course quality. Approximately 1,600 more rounds were <br />
