The Commission expressed concern that
recommending support of Ordinance 1511, Series 2007 would leave the City without any
enforcement powers with regard to the parking or storage of trailers on private
residential lots and therefore, disapproved a motion of support for Ordinance No. 1511,
Series 2007 by a vote of 6:1.

Planning Director Wood explained the LMC would continue to enforce ordinances
related to junk, parking of oversized vehicles and detached trailers in the public right-of-
way, and the parking of motor ve~hicles on private property. Sections 8.16.040;
10.20.010; 17.20.160 of the LOUlisville Municipal Code remain in effect:

PUBLIC COMMENT

Charles Hill, 233 Jackson Circle" Louisville, CO requested the public meetings be
scheduled in the fall, after the summer vacations, to allow more public input.

Robert Pierce, 1827 Eisenhower Drive, Louisville, CO voiced concern over the repeal of
the ordinance. He voiced his belief the ordinance was intended for non-covenanted
areas of Louisville. He felt the ordinance should be enforced.

COUNCIL COMMENT

Council member Muckle noted his intent in repealing the current ordinance is to develop
an ordinance that will better define and enforce trailer parking in non-covenanted areas
of Louisville.

Mayor Sisk spoke with Chairperson Lipton relative to the Planning Commission vote. He
explained their misunderstanding that the current ordinance was being enforced which is
not the case.
