<br />G. "Parks and recreational fund" means a special fund, for <br />accounting purposes, created by this chapter for the pur- <br />pose of purchasing recreational facilities, including the <br />acquisition of real estate on which such facilities may <br />be purchased or constructed. <br /> <br />H. "Public structures" means any structure which shall be <br />used by the genl~ral population and which is owned by a <br />governmental entity. <br /> <br />I. "Treasurer" means the duly appointed treasurer of the city. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Section 3.24.030 of Title 3 of the Louisville <br /> <br />Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 8. The following section is hereby added to chapter <br />3.24 of Title 3 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br />3.24.030 Fee designated - Exempted areas. <br /> <br />Any contractor applying for a building permit in accordance <br /> <br />with chapter 15.04 shall, as a condition of obtaining such building <br /> <br />permit, pay to the city a parks and recreational fee as follows: <br /> <br />A. For any buildings constructed in a residential zone as de- <br />fined in chapter 17.12, the parks and recreational fee <br />shall be fifty cents per square foot of floor area sub- <br />mitted to the building official as part of the application <br />for a building permit. <br /> <br />B. In order to encourage improvement in the older parts of <br />the city located within the boundaries of the I:.6u.j:svi.1.-1e:::'-~- <br />urban renewal district as adopted by the city council, <br />construction in that area is exempt from the expansion <br />fee, it being the opinion of the city council that the ex- <br />emption of said property is for the better health, safety, <br />and welfare of all the citizens of the city. The exempted <br />area is more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the east line of Section 8, <br />Township IS, Range 69 W, 150 feet north of the north line <br />of Harper Street; <br />Thence west along a line 150 feet north and parallel <br />to the north line of Harper Street to the west right-of- <br />way line of the Colorado and Southern Railroad; <br />Thence northwesterly along the west right-of-way line <br />of the Colorado and Southern Railroad to the north line <br />of Section 8; <br />Thence west along the north line of Section 8 to the <br />centerline of Main Street; <br />Thence south along the centerline of Main Street to <br />the north line of High School Addition as extended from <br />the west; <br />Thence west along the extended north line and the <br />north line of High School Addition to the west line of <br />Jefferson AvenUl~ as extended form the south; <br />Thence south along the extended west line and the <br />west line of Jefferson Avenue to the north line of Harper <br />Street; <br />Thence west along the north line of Harper Street <br />to the west line of the northeast quarter of Section 8; <br />Thence south along the west line of the northeast <br />quarter of Section 8 to the center of Section 8; <br />Thence west along the north line of the southwest <br />quarter of Section 8 to a point 261 feet west of the west <br />line of McKinley Avenue; <br />Thence souith along a line 261 feet west and parallel <br />to the west line of McKinley to the north line of Pine <br />Street; <br />Thence west along the north line of Pine Street 185 <br />feet: <br />
