<br />Total Valuation <br /> <br />Fee <br /> <br />$1.00 to $500.00 <br /> <br />$5.00 <br /> <br />and to add in replacement thereof: <br /> <br />Total Valuation <br /> <br />Fee <br /> <br />$250.00 to $500.00 <br /> <br />$5.00 <br /> <br />(b) From Sections 608, 708, 808, 908, 1108, and 1208, <br /> <br />there is hereby deleted the paragraph that reads as follows: <br /> <br />"Exception: Boilers or Central heating plants <br />where the largest piece of fuel equipment does <br />not exceed 400,000 BTU per hour input" <br /> <br />and delete entirely Section 1413 entitled "fire warning system". <br />(c) Section 303 of the Uniform Building Code is <br /> <br />hereby amended to add the following paragraph to-wit: <br />(d) A Building Permit will NOT be required for the <br /> <br />renovation, remodel and/or repair of an existing resident <br /> <br />where: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br /> <br />The work is to be done by the Owner or Occupant, and <br />The size if the structure will not be increased, and <br />The structural members (design) ie: Foundation, <br />Underpinning, bearing, or framing will not be <br />altered or changed, and <br />The scope of the work will exclude any electricals, <br />plumbing and/or heating, and <br />The TOTAL COST of labor and materials will not <br />exceed $250.00. <br /> <br />4) <br />5) <br /> <br />Section 3. Code Copies. At least three (3) copies of the <br />Uniform Building Code, 1973 edition, Volume 1, and at least three (3) <br />copies of the Uniform Building Code Standards, 1973 edition, of the <br />International Conference of Building Officials, all certified to be <br /> <br />true shall be available for reference by any interested person be- <br /> <br />tween the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, <br />holidays excepted. The "Building Code" as finally adopted shall be <br />available for sale to the public through the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk at a moderate price. <br />Section 4. Penalties <br /> <br />(a) The following penalty clause as contained in <br /> <br />the Uniform Building Code is herewith set forth in full <br /> <br />and adopted: <br /> <br />"Section 205. It shall be unlawful for any <br />person, firm, or corporation to erect, con- <br />struct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, <br />convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or <br />maintain any building or structure in the <br />city, or cause the same to be done, con- <br />trary to or in violation of any of the <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
