<br />Section 32. Section 9-104 of the Louisville Zoning Ordinance is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9-104. Termination of Certain Nonconforming Uses <br />(A) A nonconformlng use not involving a structure or one <br />involving a structure having an appraised value for tax <br />purposes of less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500) shall <br />be discontinue:d within two (2) years from the date of <br />passage of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />(B) A use which is nonconforming with respect to provision <br />for screening shall provide screening within a period of <br />five (5) years from the date of passage of this Ordinance." <br /> <br />Section 33. Section 9-106 of the Louisville Zoning Ordinance is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9-106 Destruction of a Nonconforming Use <br />If a nonconforming structure or a structure containing a non- <br />conforming use is destroyed by fire, flood, wind, explosion <br />or act of God to an extent exceeding fifty (50) per cent of <br />the appraised value for tax purposes of the building using <br />new materials, a future structure or use on the property <br />shall conform to the provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />If destruction is determined to be less than fifty (50) <br />per cent, restoration must be started within twelve (12) <br />months of such calamity and completed within twenty four <br />(24) months of initiating restoration." <br /> <br />Section 34. Section 9-110 of the Louisville Zoning Ordinance is <br />amended as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9-11 O. Nonconforming Si~ns <br />Any sign which 1 awfully exi sts pnor to the adopti on-.,of amend- <br />ment of this Ordinance may be continued subject to the follow- <br />ing provisions: <br />(A) No such sign may be enlarged or altered in such a manner <br />as to increase its nonconformity; however, any sign or por- <br />tion thereof may be altered to decrease its nonconformity. <br />(B) If any such sign or nonconforming portion thereof be <br />destroyed by any means to an extent of more than fifty (50) <br />per cent of its appraised value for tax purposes at the time <br />of said destruction, it shall not be reconstructed except <br />in conformity with the applicable provisions of this Ordinance. <br />(C) If any such sign should for any reason be moved from its <br />location, it shall conform to the provisions of the district <br />in which it is located after it is moved. <br /> <br />The right to operate and maintain any nonconforming sign shall <br />terminate on December 31, 1980." <br /> <br />-19- <br />
