<br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 501 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING GEOLOGIC HAZARDS IN THE AREA <br />KNOWN AS THE COLORADO TECHNOLOGICAL CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Land Use Commission in its resolution <br />dated April 29, 1975 formally requested the City of Louisville to <br />take action with respect to four matters of state interest with <br />reference to the area cO~10nly known as the Colorado Technological <br />Center (referred to by annexation ordinance in the Colorado Land <br />Use Commission resolution), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville held a <br />properly advertised public hearing to consider designation of <br />matters of state interest, and <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Charles Robinson, a professional geologist as <br />defined by C.R.S. 12-25-101, 1973, as amended, offered testimony <br />relating the findings of detailed geologic studies conducted on the <br />Colorado Technological Center site and submitted geologic maps and <br />conclusions in verbal report form to the City Council, and <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Robinson's report conctludes that portions of the <br />Colorado Technological Center site are in fact subject to potential <br />geologic hazard in the form of subsidence and that these areas are <br />accurately delineated on the map entitled "Subsidence Potential <br />Map of Colorado Technological Center," and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that uncontrolled <br />development of such geologic hazard areas could endanger the health, <br />safety and welfare of the general public, could result 1n unnecessary <br />economic loss to the City of Louisville and private persons and such <br />areas are a matter of statewide concern, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City <br />of Louisville, Colorado that the map entitled I'Subsidence Potential <br />
