<br />Section 4.5-2 Certified Copies. <br /> <br />The Clerk shall furnish on demand certified copies of <br />any record, ordinance or other proceeding on file in his <br />office upon payment to him of such fees as are established <br />by the Clerk, all such fees to be deposited in the city <br />treasury and to become the property of the city. <br /> <br />Section 4.5-3 Deputy and Assistant <br />City Clerks <br /> <br />The city clerk may appoint a deputy city clerk and as <br />many assistants as are necessary, within the limitations of <br />the city budget. The city council may require such persons <br />to give good and sufficient surety bonds in an amount not to <br />exceed $10,000.00, conditioned upon the faithful performance <br />of their duties and for the proper care and accounting of <br />all monies and property coming into their hands. Such <br />persons shall be under the direct supervision of the city <br />clerk and shall not hold office at the pleasure of the city <br />council. The salaries of such persons shall be fixed by the <br />city council. <br /> <br />Section 4.6-1 Duties <br /> <br />The city treasurer shall be the custodian of all funds <br />belonging to the city and shall pay no money but except upon <br />check drawn upon the ci t:y account, signed by the mayor, the <br />city treasurer and countersigned by the city clerk and then <br />only upon the particular fund upon which said check is drawn. <br />He shall keep a separate account of each fund or appropriation <br />and the debits and credits belonging thereto. <br /> <br />Section 4.6-2 Register of Checks. <br /> <br />The city treasurer shall keep a register of all checks <br />drawn upon him, whether the same are paid or not, showing the <br />number, date, to whom issued, for what purpose issued, the <br />fund on which the same is drawn, and the amount. Said register <br />shall be open to the inspection of all city officers at all <br />times, upon expiration of the city treasurers term of office, <br />he shall file said register of checks with the city clerk to <br />become a permanent part of the records of the city. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. Secti,on 22.1 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The f,ollowing section is hereby added to <br />Chapter 22 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />Section 22.1 Building Officials. <br /> <br />The city administrator shall appoint a qualified person <br />to serve as the building official. The building official (s) <br />shall be the enforcement officer for the Uniform Building Code, <br />the Uniform Plumbing Cod'8, and Unif orm Mechanica 1 Code. He <br />shall perform such other duties as the council may direct. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
