CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator informed Council that a letter was received from <br />Coach Monty Sutak regarding the arrangement between the City of Louisville and the <br />Boulder Valley School District for the use of Coal Creek Golf Course. He noted that the <br />boys and girls golf teams would practice at the Coal Creek Golf Course. <br /> <br />Simmons also stated that the City is on schedule for the two open-space acquisition <br />agreements for the Bowes and Esmail properties. He stated that Staff has targeted a May <br />23, 2000 closing date. <br /> <br />Simmons also stated that he and Mayor Davidson will attend an April 7, 2000 meeting <br />with the City of Boulder, the Town of Superior, Boulder County and other jurisdictions, <br />relative to continuing discussions on the US36 Intergovernmental Agreement. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer reported on the Recycling Authority. He stated that the subdivision process has <br />been completed and can move forward. He also noted that Conservation Board member, <br />Kent Wilson is no longer on the board and there is no alternate. Mayer asked if a <br />member of Council would be willing to fill in at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Brown stated that he would review his schedule and if time permits, would attend. <br /> <br />Mayer asked City Administrator Simmons to designate a Staff representative to attend the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Heather Balser, Assistant to the City Administrator will attend the next meeting of the <br />Conservation Board. <br /> <br />Howard stated that he met with the senior citizens and reported that one of the issues <br />discussed, was senior space allocation at the Recreation Center for their continuing <br />programs. <br /> <br />Brown recognized the overwhelming response of applications for the Open Space Board. <br />He stated he was overwhelmed and pleased with the expertise of the volunteering <br />citizens, and that appointments would be made shortly. He also reported on individuals <br />who have contacted him regarding an in-line skating rink. He stated they are working on <br />a proposal that will be forwarded for City Council review. <br /> <br />Sisk reminded Council of a MIS meeting tomorrow, March 22, 2000, at 4:00 p.m., at the <br />Louisville Pubic Library. He reported that citizens have contacted him and commended <br />the Recreation Center on a garage sale fundraiser for a young cancer patient.
