All in favor. <br /> Laurel Alterman, introduced herself to the Authority as owner of Altermeds, 1156 W. <br /> Dillon Road #3, Louisville, CO, a medical marijuana center. The Secretary administered <br /> the oath to the applicant. <br /> Ms. Alterman stated she had been in business almost 2 years now. It has been her <br /> mission to provide top quality medicine to licensed patients in the state. She felt her <br /> business had been a good neighbor and had not harmed any of the other businesses in <br /> the area. She handed out a pamphlet to the Authority with two articles published in <br /> magazines and letters from neighboring businesses. Chairperson Gunning asked for <br /> objections to having this entered as an Exhibit, hearing no objections, it was entered as <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> Attorney Culley asked some questions about cultivation and lighting. Ms. Alterman <br /> responded she had provided the certification on the cultivation and the lighting plan. <br /> Ms. Alterman was asked how tracking was done for the patients. She replied there was <br /> no central database, but they keep track at their point of sale. She also mentioned <br /> patients pay top dollar for product, so the center doesn't see them attempting to <br /> purchase above the allotted amount. <br /> • Chairperson Gunning asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in favor of the <br /> application. <br /> Bobby DesPlaines, a store manager at AlterMeds, took the oath, and said he felt the <br /> center did a good business and helped a lot of people in the area. <br /> Chairperson Gunning asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in opposition to <br /> the application. <br /> Hearing no opposition, Gunning asked the applicant for any closing statements. <br /> Ms. Alterman said she felt fortunate to be in her current location. She stated Louisville <br /> has been great to work with. She does all she can to uphold the law and there is no <br /> gray area in the way she operates her business. <br /> Gunning closed the public hearing and asked for Authority comment. <br /> Carlson asked about the different types of licenses named on the state application and <br /> for clarification on the number of patients AlterMeds has. <br /> Chairperson Gunning re-opened the hearing. <br /> • Jack Alterman, son of the owner, took the oath. He clarified P atients can name any <br /> center as their primary center, but can purchase at any center. <br />
