Louisville City Council Meeting
May 2, 2000
Page 4

Sisk stated that it has been his pleasure to serve as Council Liaison to the Louisville
Senior Citizen Board. He commended Cathy Bittler and the members of the Senior
Board for their service to the community.

1999 AUDIT PRESENTATION - BONDI COMPANY

Kim Higgins, C.P.A., Partner with Bondi & Co., presented the 1999 Audit and
Management Letter for the City of Louisville. She stated that Louisville's 1999 Audit
received the highest rated opinion attainable. She reviewed the Independent Auditors'
Report and noted that the general-purpose financial statements are the responsibility of
the City of Louisville's management, and the Auditors' responsibility is to express an
opinion on the general-purpose financial statement based on the audit.

Higgins noted that the audit was conducted in accordance with generally accepted
auditing standards. Those standards require planning and performing the audit to obtain
reasonable assurance about whether the general-purpose financial statements are free of
material misstatement. She stated that an audit also includes assessing the accounting
principles used and significant estimates made by management, as well as evaluating the
overall financial statement presentation.

Higgins reviewed the financial analysis of expenditures and revenues in detail. She also
highlighted several areas of positive financial performance accomplished by the City
during the year and reviewed the recommendations for further improvements.

Higgins thanked the Mayor and City Council, Finance Director Dianne Ray, and City
Administrator Bill Simmons.

ORDINANCE NO. 1337, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN
ALTERNATE MEMBER OF THE LOUISVILLE CITIZENS OPEN SPACE
ADVISORY BOARD - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera
4/22/00)

Davidson called for City Attorney presentation.

Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1337, Series 2000 - An Ordinance
Providing for An Alternate Member of the Louisville Citizens Open Space Advisory
Board.

Davidson called for Staff presentation.

4
