Absent: Council member Clabots. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1461, SERIES 2005 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE <br />VACATION OF A 3.318 SQUARE FOOT PORTION OF THE CONTINENTAL <br />VIEW DRIVE RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED IN LOT 1, BOULDER VIEW <br />SUBDIVISION, IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE - 1 st reading - set public hearing <br />1/18/05 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1461, Series 2005. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1461, Series 2005 be published and a <br />public hearing be set for January 18, 2005, seconded by Council member Levihn. All in <br />favor. Absent: Council member Clabots. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH BOULDER COUNTY FOR <br />ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT APPLICATION FOR ZERO-WASTE EVENTS - <br />LOUISVILLE RESOURCE CONSERVATION ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd introduced two members of the Resource Conservation <br />Advisory Board, Jenny Braus and Mark Persichetti. She reviewed the amended copy of <br />the agreement with Boulder County - Community Outreach Program 2005. She reported <br />the City of Louisville has participated in Boulder County's Community Outreach <br />Program, with grant applications submitted by the Resource Conservation Advisory <br />Board. <br /> <br />For 2005 the focus of the grant program was on education programs, and the LRCAB <br />received a grant in the amount of$3,750 as matching funds for five different Zero-Waste <br />events. The events to be funded include the July 4 barbeque at Memory Square Park, the <br />July 4 Fireworks display and festivities at Coal Creek Golf Course, and the three days of <br />Labor Day festivities, including the parade and events at Memory Square Park. It is the <br />goal of LRCAB to educate and familiarize Louisville citizens with recycling options in <br />the City to increase recycling on an everyday basis. LRCAB will work with Eco-CYcle, <br />which will help provide volunteer training and supplies needed for the events. The City <br />will provide $3,095.00 of in-kind and matching funds. She noted the amended copy of <br />changes to the agreement was received by Staff after the agenda was approved. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />4 <br />
