David Woolfall, Carter Burgess
Traffic Consultant, prepared the conceptual design for the Cherry Street
pedestrian crossing and was asked to examine three options for the Via Appia
crossing. After reviewing the three alternatives, Staff and Carter Burgess have
concluded Alternative #2 best meets the objectives of pedestrian crossing safety.
Alternative #1 favors directing people to the front of the Recreation Center.

Carter Burgess representative David Woolfall reviewed the three options for the
Via Appia crossing. He noted that Alternative #1 and #2 are at the same
location, and Alternative #3 is near the intersection of Via Appia and Nighthawk.
