He stated he raised these issues with the Planning Commission throughout <br />the review process. He stated the Planning Commission conducted an excellent <br />process that was marked with integrity and concern for the views of the citizens. <br />However, at the end of the process the Planning Commission made decisions <br />inconsistent with the principles adopted. He asked the Mayor to outline the <br />process and the schedule the Council will follow in their review of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Tom Davidson, 611 W. Chestnut Court, Louisville, CO complimented the <br />Planning Commission on their review process for the Comp Plan. He urged the <br />Council to listen to the citizens and not an owner of a large parcel of land when <br />considering the Comprehensive Plan. He asked Council to look at some of the <br />surrounding communities of Lafayette and Superior. He noted there is a housing <br />imbalance to jobs in those communities and cities that have an abundance of <br />houses have higher taxes. <br /> <br />Adam Fells, Louisville Middle School Principal, addressed Louisville schools <br />enrollment. He explained in the Boulder Valley School District there is a <br />consolidation of schools requiring east to west open enrollments. He stated 1/3 <br />of the Louisville Middle School students are open enrollment and come from <br />other communities. He supported entry level housing, and mixed-use housing. <br />He stated the health of the schools depends on the neighborhoods. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk outlined the following schedule for the City Council's review of the <br />Comprehensive Plan: <br /> <br />. July 5, City Council meeting: Areas 4 and 7 will be discussed. <br /> <br />. July 12, Special City Council meeting: Fiscal impacts and alterations of <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />. July 19, City Council meeting: Comprehensive Plan review. <br /> <br />. August 2 City Council meeting: Comprehensive Plan review. <br /> <br />Council member Marsella requested that Area 5 and 6 also be discussed. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, continued the public <br />hearing until July 5, 2005, where Area 4 and 7 will be discussed. <br />
