Louisville City Council Meeting <br />June 20, 2000 <br />Page 3. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator stated that Staff is looking into acquiring such an <br />independent assessment. <br /> <br />Mayer commented that the "Touch a Truck" event was extremely popular, but stated he <br />was concerned with the number of cars creating a safety hazard. He suggested that the <br />event be moved or other alternatives be sought to deal with the parking problem. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that the Intergovernmental Agreement dealt with hazardous wastes and he <br />wanted to remind Council that funds from the 1994 tax for solid waste could be used to <br />support a new facility. <br /> <br />Mayer noted that the Consortium of Cities provided a study regarding transportation, and <br />the City received a copy of the County survey on transportation. He asked that copies be <br />made available for members of Council. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that last Friday a thirteen-year old Louisville Middle School student was <br />killed in a tragic traffic accident. Sisk noted that although he was a resident of Lafayette, <br />his death has touched our community. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1338, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 9.40 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING <br />PERMITS FOR LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS <br />- 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 5/20/00) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1338, Series 2000. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Meredyth Muth, Community Facilitator stated that Ordinance No. 1338, Series 2000 will <br />amend Chapter 9.40 of the Municipal Code to grant the City Clerk the authority to <br />approve a Live Music permit. If written protests to the application are received, the City <br />Council will hold a public hearing on the application and make the final determination on <br />the permit. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak <br />in favor or against Ordinance No. 1338, Series 2000. Hearing none, Davidson closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
