<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 6,2005 <br />Page 9 of 18 <br /> <br />the chance to review demolition requests that request the removal of over half <br />the structure or if a fac.;:ade or street facing wall is being removed, but this would <br />allow the demolition of anything that is less than 50% of the rear of a site. <br />Ordinance No. 1476, Series 2005 amends Title 15.36 of The Louisville Municipal <br />Code, Regarding Historic Preservation. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested public comment. <br /> <br />Mike Koertje, Chairperson of the Historic Preservation Commission stated <br />members of the Commission are available to answer Council questions. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt asked for clarification on the 50% provision. She <br />asked if someone wanted to expand on their historic property, would that require <br />a review. Chairperson Koertje confirmed it would. <br /> <br />Commissioner Heather Lewis addressed the 50% reconstruction provisions and <br />noted the Commission is interested in the character change of the home. <br /> <br />Sage Maurer, 948 Parkview Street, Louisville, CO asked if there is a process to <br />grant approval for revisions to the property prior to the property owner expending <br />funds for architectural drawings or plans. Community Facilitator Meredyth Muth <br />stated there is an application, which outlines the process. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTON: Council member Marsella moved for approval of Ordinance No. 1476, <br />Series 2005, seconded by Council member Brown. Roll call vote was taken. <br />The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. Absent: Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1477, SERIES 2005 . AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN <br />ANNEXATION, KNOWN AS THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE S. 96TH STREET <br />ANNEXATION NO.3, TO THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO - public <br />hearing - 1st reading - set public hearing 9/20/05 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1477, Series 2005. He stated the <br />annexation and zoning of the property could be discussed jointly, but approval of <br />the annexation ordinance and the zoning ordinance requires separate motions. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation <br /> <br />Principal Planner Ken Johnstone explained Ordinance No. 1477, Series 2005 <br />
