She voiced her concern over generating an
effective questionnaire in such a short period of time.
City Attorney Light asked for clarification whether the City Council intends to delegate
authority to the Mayor to prepare the questionnaire and send it to the applicants, or
whether City Council intends to review and approve the questionnaire. He explained it is
a questionnaire of the City Council, so the Council would have to delegate their
authority or the questionnaire would have to be reviewed and approved by the City
Council as an action item at a meeting.
Mayor Muckle amended his motion to request Council members send their questions to
the Mayor to be compiled and reviewed by the entire City Council, which will be
distributed via a questionnaire to all the applicants. Councilor Sackett accepted the
amendment.
Councilor Keany suggested the questionnaire be prepared for the December 20, 2011
City Council Agenda and Council seek citizen input at the meeting.
Councilor Yarnell supported a questionnaire, but asked to whom the citizens would
• direct their proposed questions. Councilor Keany suggested the citizen input should
come directly to the City Council/Staff email addresses.
