Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 18, 2000 <br />Page 14 <br /> <br />Davidson noted that the Planning Commission has not made a recommendation to <br />Council on Ordinance No. 1341, Series 2000, and has continued the matter to their July <br />20, 2000 meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson opened the public hearing and moved that Council continue <br />Ordinance No. 1341, Series 2000 to the August 15, 2000 regular meeting, seconded by <br />Keany. All in favor. <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons noted that the City Attorney has prepared proposed <br />second reading amendments to the ordinance that concern further definition of parking <br />requirements for freestanding buildings within downtown Louisville occupied solely by a <br />restaurant. <br /> <br />ORDER FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE THEREOF MAIN STREET <br /> LOUISVILLE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported that on Friday, July 14, 2000, proponents filed with the City <br />Clerk a "Petition for the Organization of the Main Street Louisville Business <br />Improvement District within the City of Louisville." The filing of the Petition initiates <br />the process under state law for organization of the proposed district. City Council must <br />set a hearing on the Petition, ordering the time and place of a hearing not less than 20 nor <br />more than 40 days thereafter. The Order sets a public hearing on the Petition for August <br />15, 2000 and directs the City Clerk to provide notice of the hearing. Proponents state that <br />they have received signatures representing 63% of the total evaluation of real and <br />personal property and 52% of the total acreage. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Applicant presentation. <br /> <br />Ronda Grassi, CADCO Computers, 916 Main Street, Louisville, CO stated that the Board <br />of Directors of the Downtown Business District has gathered signatures in support of the <br />Business Improvement District. She stated that they collected over 70 business and <br />residence signatures. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that he and Mayor Davidson had an opportunity to meet with Ronda Grassi <br />and a number of downtown business owners.
