Louisville City Council Meeting
July 18, 2000
Page 15

MOTION: Brown moved that Council adopt the Order for Public Hearing on the
Petition for the Organization of the Main Street Louisville Business Improvement
District, seconded by Keany. All in favor.

RESOLUTION NO. 41, SERIES 2000 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL
PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR AN EXPANSION TO THE OLD
LOUISVILLE INN, LOT 1, BLOCK B, TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, 740 FRONT
STREET

Davidson stated that at the last meeting, the matter was continued to establish the number
of parking spaces for the expansion of the Old Louisville Inn. He asked Councilman Sisk
if he wished to address the issue.

Sisk stated that it is his position that the downtown criteria should be maintained. He
stated that the parking should be based on the usable square footage of the addition's
public areas.

Mayer stated that he would support this application, based on the Planning Commissions
recommendation.

There was discussion relative to the amount of inhabitable space of the new addition for
purposes of assessing required parking spaces.

Keany stated that the application states the additional finished space in the basement as
1,659 square feet. He suggested Council require four spaces.

Mayer suggested that Council follow the Planning Commission's recommendation.

City Attorney Light stated that the Parking Ordinance requirements were followed by the
Planning Commission.

MOTION: Mayer moved that Council approve Resolution No. 41, Series 2000
seconded by Keany.

Brown stated that there are parking issues in the downtown area, but that he would
support the application.

Keany asked Planning Director Wood if the ResolUtion was modified to cover the
lighting conditions.
