CITY MONEYS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF REAL ESTATE FOR FUTURE <br />SITE FOR THE LOUISVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY - 520 SOUTH <br />BOULDER ROAD - 2ua reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 8/5/00)) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1343, Series 2000. <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons stated that Ordinance No. 1343, Series 2000 will <br />authorize payment to acquire a 0.58 acre parcel located at 520 South Boulder Road. The <br />purchase price of the property is $154,000.00. Simmons noted that the City intends to <br />acquire the property for a future site for the Louisville Housing Authority. Simmons <br />reviewed Section 4 of the ordinance, which states: "The property is not being acquired, <br />and will not be held or used, for any park or governmental purpose of the City. The City <br />shall have and may exercise without the necessity of an election all rights set forth in <br />D.R.S. Section 29-4-106 and any other applicable laws, as amended and in effect from <br />time to time, to convey title or deliver possession of the Property to the Louisville <br />Housing Authority, as the City Council may determine." <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak <br />for or against Ordinance No. 1343, Series 2000. Hearing none, Davidson closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1343, Series 2000, <br />seconded by Brown. Roll call vote was taken. Motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons reminded Council of the city-wide public meeting on <br />Wednesday, August 23, 2000 at the Recreation Center, to discuss burial of the PSCo <br />power lines. <br /> <br />Simmons reported that in review of the City sales tax, it was noted that May represented <br />the last month for the sales tax rebate with Sam's Club. He stated that for the 12-month <br />period, which expired May of 2000, the total rebate was $515,102. <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> <br />
