ORDINANCE NO. 1348, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE A NEW MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF SUCH CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED IN THE CODE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF AMENDING THE CODE; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE - 1sT reading - set public hearing 11/08/00 Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1348, Series 2000. MOTION: Davidson moved that Council set Ordinance No. 1348, Series 2000 out for publication and set a public heating for November 8, 2000. All in favor. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT City Attorney Light reported that he has received a copy of a petition filed by Xcel Energy (Public Service) to the Public Utilities Commission. The petition requests that the PUC enter an order stating that the transmission line upgrade project is needed now and cannot wait for Louisville to review acquisition options. They also requested that the PUC order that the project be allowed to proceed above ground. The petition notes that it is a matter of state-wide concern and requests that they be allowed to proceed with the above ground proposal as submitted to the City in their Special Review Use request. - Light stated that he will review the application for a response. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT City Administrator Bill Simmons reminded Council of the Tuesday, October 24, 2000 work session. Items on the agenda will include an update of the State Highway 42/96th Street connection, and a report from BRW Consultants on the area t'rom Pine Street to South Boulder Road. He noted that this would be a joint meeting with the Planning Commission. 9
