Motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1348, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY <br />REFERENCE A NEW MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF SUCH CODE; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT <br />INCLUDED IN THE CODE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION <br />OF THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF AMENDING THE <br />CODE; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME <br />EFFECTIVE - 1sT reading - set public hearing 11/08/00 <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1348, Series 2000. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council set Ordinance No. 1348, Series 2000 out for <br />publication and set a public heating for November 8, 2000. All in favor. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported that he has received a copy of a petition filed by Xcel <br />Energy (Public Service) to the Public Utilities Commission. The petition requests that <br />the PUC enter an order stating that the transmission line upgrade project is needed now <br />and cannot wait for Louisville to review acquisition options. They also requested that the <br />PUC order that the project be allowed to proceed above ground. The petition notes that it <br />is a matter of state-wide concern and requests that they be allowed to proceed with the <br />above ground proposal as submitted to the City in their Special Review Use request. - <br />Light stated that he will review the application for a response. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons reminded Council of the Tuesday, October 24, 2000 <br />work session. Items on the agenda will include an update of the State Highway 42/96th <br />Street connection, and a report from BRW Consultants on the area t'rom Pine Street to <br />South Boulder Road.
