He stated consumers dislike cable <br /> television companies the most because of their poor customer service and excessive <br /> price increases. He referred to the City's Franchise Agreement with Comcast Cable <br /> Television, which was signed in 2006, without any public announcements in the <br /> newsletter, the Government Channel or by written notice to households. He addressed <br /> the Cable Customer Bill of Rights, which protects the customers and noted the City has <br /> not enforced those provisions. He stated he would again stand in witness to the long- <br /> time practice of Louisville City officials protecting the interest of a large cable company <br /> and not the interests of the citizens of Louisville. <br /> Debby Fahey, President of the Louisville Senior Foundation, 1118 W. Enclave Circle, <br /> Louisville, CO reported due to declining number of seniors requesting assistance and <br /> the duplication of effort with the Senior Advisory Board, the Senior Foundation voted <br /> unanimously today to disband. The Senior Foundation funds will be forwarded to the <br /> Senior Advisory Board <br /> Council member Dalton thanked Ms. Fahey for all the work the Senior Foundation has <br /> done for the senior community. <br /> APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle called for changes to the consent agenda and hearing none, moved to <br /> approve the consent agenda, seconded by Councilor Jasiak.
