Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 21, 2012 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br />Robinson stated staff has received the Grant contracts and we are working forward on <br />the HSA and the Reconnaissance Survey <br />Building Assessment Pre-Qualified List <br />Robinson stated we are providing the HPC with the list of the architect firms we have <br />included in the pre-qualified list. This list was determined through an RFP process at <br />the beginning of the year. <br />Poppitz inquired how staff came up with this list. <br />Robinson answered through an RFP process. <br />Stewart stated he thought the resource is great. Make sure to let the applicant know <br />this is just a recommended list. <br />Robinson answered in the affirmative. <br />Stewart stated a scope of work should be included from these architects so the <br />applicants can review them. <br />Robinson stated there is a certain degree of liability that we must be careful with so the <br />City is trying to remove itself from the process. <br />Plaques <br />Stewart asked staff if they could make mock ups and inquired about including QR codes <br />as a place for the sticker. <br />La Grave stated if we keep the signs repetitive there could be cost savings. <br />Stewart answered not as much as you would think. Can staff please research this. <br />Items from Staff <br /> – none <br />Items from Commission Members <br /> <br />Poppitz stated he was resigning because he has projects coming up that will create a <br />number of potential conflicts. <br />Stewart asked staff to explain the process to refill the vacancy. <br />Robinson explained. <br />The HPC thanked Poppitz for his service to the commission. <br />Stewart stated wayfinding signs have been completed by staff and it is very nice. <br />McCartney explained what the wayfinding sign plan entailed. <br /> <br />
