Louisville City Council Meeting
January 16, 2001
Page 14.

Davidson called for City Attorney introduction.

City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1356, Series 2001.

Davidson stated that he had received one sign-up card with respect to Ordinance No.
1356, Series 2001. He explained that this was not a public heating and normally public
comment is taken at a public hearing. He asked if the interested party would still like to
speak on Ordinance No. 1356, Series 2001.

Linda Armantrout, 817 Pine Street, Louisville, CO, stated that she would like to speak to
Council. She stated that she is an adjacent property owner and is in favor of the alley
vacation. She explained that she has a parking problem because there is only one space
between her house and the alley that is not a 2- hour parking space. She complained that
the space is used by people employed downtown and that they park there all day. She
stated that when she leaves her home and returns, she is not able to park in front of her
home and must look for a space on another street. She noted that the alley vacation
would provide a parking space for her. She stated that she has maintained the property at
the City request, and asked that the City vacate the alley.

MOTION: Howard moved that Council set Ordinance No. 1355, Series 2001 out for
publication and set a public hearing for February 20, 2001, seconded by Mayer. All in
favor.

Davidson recalled one item from the Consent Agenda, the Colorado Municipal League
bill for annual dues. He explained that the Finance Committee has asked that the CML
bill be removed from the consent agenda. He stated that the Finance Committee wishes
to invite a CML representative to attend a work session to discuss the benefits the CML
can provide the City of Louisville.

MOTION: Davidson moved that the bill for the CML Annual Dues be withdrawn from
the consent agenda, seconded by Keany. All in favor.

Sisk asked that should Ms. Armantrout be unable to attend the February 20, 2001 public
hearing on Ordinance No. 1355, Series 2001, that her remarks at this meeting be made a
part of the record.

City Attorney Light suggested that Ms. Armantrout contact City Staff to discuss the alley
vacation and the split of the property within the alley. Ms. Armantrout stated that a
survey had already been completed but that she would contact Ken Johnstone of the
Louisville Planning Department.

14
