He also reported an <br />update litigation status report will be forthcoming. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported the Louisville Business Retention meeting has <br />been scheduled for Friday, November 18. The meeting will be held at the <br />Louisville Courtroom. The Memory Square playground is closed. Installation of <br />new playground equipment is scheduled to be completed by December 3, at a <br />cost of $62,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />Highway 42 Mixed Used Zoning and Design Guidelines: The Planning <br />Commission will conduct public hearings on December 8 and January 12. A joint <br />session of Council and Planning Commission is scheduled for January 24.The <br />City Council will conduct a public hearing on February 7 and 21. <br /> <br />Height Guideline Review: Potential amendment to the Land Use Code. <br /> <br />Amendment Plan application submitted by Markel Homes. The Development <br />Plan was approved in 1998. The proposal includes total of 514 residential homes <br />and 44,000 SF of commercial space. <br /> <br />Dental Aid request: Dental Aid provides dental services to pediatric clinic care in <br />the Boulder and Louisville area. They would like to purchase the building they <br />occupy and request the City act as a conduit for tax exempt revenue bonds to be <br />issued by Wells Fargo Bank for that purchase. <br /> <br />November 22 Study Session Agenda Items: Update on the Cable TV Franchise <br />Agreement; Presentation from Boulder County Consortium of Cities on <br />Transportation and transit services alternatives for Boulder/Broomfield County. <br /> <br />The advanced agenda for the December 6, 2005 City Council meeting and the <br />November-December meeting calendar was distributed. <br /> <br />January 5, 2006 - Legislative Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. at the Louisville Arts Center. <br /> <br />METRO Beats TV will premier on Thursday, November 17 from 7:30 to 10:00 <br />p.m. and be repeated on Sundays from 11 :30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the City's <br />governmental access channel (Channel 8). <br /> <br />Vacancies on the Advisory Boards will be advertised on the water bill, in the <br />newspaper, on the Web Page, and on the Governmental Channel. Staff <br />requested Council consider an interview schedule. <br />
