He also reported an update litigation status report will be forthcoming. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT City Manager Simmons reported the Louisville Business Retention meeting has been scheduled for Friday, November 18. The meeting will be held at the Louisville Courtroom. The Memory Square playground is closed. Installation of new playground equipment is scheduled to be completed by December 3, at a cost of $62,000. DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING Highway 42 Mixed Used Zoning and Design Guidelines: The Planning Commission will conduct public hearings on December 8 and January 12. A joint session of Council and Planning Commission is scheduled for January 24.The City Council will conduct a public hearing on February 7 and 21. Height Guideline Review: Potential amendment to the Land Use Code. Amendment Plan application submitted by Markel Homes. The Development Plan was approved in 1998. The proposal includes total of 514 residential homes and 44,000 SF of commercial space. Dental Aid request: Dental Aid provides dental services to pediatric clinic care in the Boulder and Louisville area. They would like to purchase the building they occupy and request the City act as a conduit for tax exempt revenue bonds to be issued by Wells Fargo Bank for that purchase. November 22 Study Session Agenda Items: Update on the Cable TV Franchise Agreement; Presentation from Boulder County Consortium of Cities on Transportation and transit services alternatives for Boulder/Broomfield County. The advanced agenda for the December 6, 2005 City Council meeting and the November-December meeting calendar was distributed. January 5, 2006 - Legislative Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. at the Louisville Arts Center. METRO Beats TV will premier on Thursday, November 17 from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. and be repeated on Sundays from 11 :30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the City's governmental access channel (Channel 8). Vacancies on the Advisory Boards will be advertised on the water bill, in the newspaper, on the Web Page, and on the Governmental Channel. Staff requested Council consider an interview schedule.
