He also thanked all the volunteers who made it such a festive affair. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> PROCLAMATION — DOLPHINS SWIM TEAM <br /> Mayor Muckle congratulated the Louisville Dolphins Swim Team for their float in the <br /> Labor Day Parade, for which they received the second place award. He proclaimed <br /> September 4, 2012 as "A Day to Recognize the Louisville Dolphins Swim Team", for <br /> placing first at the Boulder Valley Summer Swim League Championship Meet. The <br /> proclamation was presented to Board Member Vicki Greff and Head Coach Carl Diehl. <br /> Many parents and swim team members were also in attendance <br /> Vicki Greff thanked City Council for their recognition and their support of the Louisville <br /> Dolphins Swim Team. <br /> ORDINANCE No. 1622, SERIES 2012 — AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br /> PAYMENT OF CITY MONEYS FOR THE ACQUISITION, STABILIZATION, <br /> REHABILITATION AND REDEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> 544 FRONT STREET IN LOUISVILLE AND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE <br /> DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE GRAIN ELEVATOR SITE, APPROVING AN INTEREST <br /> BEARING LOAN FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br /> FUND FOR SUCH PURPOSES, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1618, SERIES <br /> 2012 —2nd Reading —Public Hearing <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1622, Series 2012. <br /> Mayor Muckle opened the public hearing and requested a staff presentation. <br /> Economic Development Director DeJong explained this ordinance authorizes the <br /> payment for the acquisition, stabilization, rehabilitation and redevelopment of the <br /> Louisville Grain Elevator. Council approved Resolution 57, Series 2012 accepting a <br /> transfer of the purchase contract for the Grain Elevator. The transfer was completed <br /> and the City now owns the purchase contract. A ninety-day notice was given to the <br /> current owners. The closing date of the purchase contract is November 28th. The <br /> ordinance provides the funding to acquire, stabilize, rehabilitate, and redevelop the <br /> Grain Elevator. <br />
