Scott Robson addressed this and indicated that there is <br />not even a willing seller at this point. <br />Phil Harbor indicated that this property is a natural extension of Cottonwood and <br />asked why it was a low priority. Jeff Moline drew the distinction between park <br />property and open space property. <br />Who drafts a proposal if there is a willing seller? <br />Scott Robson indicated that the City Planning Department is the gatekeeper of <br />land development. <br />Jerry Stroup spoke about the safety issues. Bike accidents and car accidents <br />already are occurring. Fire issues should be considered. Who will be paying for <br />the infrastructure. <br />Gaylen Olsson asked how much money is available for parks. Scott Robson <br />indicated that there is approximately $3 million currently available to purchase <br />parks and open space <br />OJohn indicated that we should make it a high priority, go before the planning <br />commission and the city council to explain the importance of this property. <br />The Board deliberated on the issue. <br />Tom Davinroy indicated that he is open to revisiting the prioritization list, and in <br />particular looking at this parcel in that regard.
