Steve Baysinger mentioned that the City needs to meet with DOW concerning the prairie dogs. He has <br />not heard back from them or the County about relocation sites. The City is currently waiting for a cost <br />from Wild Unlimited to move the McCaslin prairie dogs. <br />A prairie dog management plan is in the works. This would be contracted out. The City is also looking at <br />an "easement with intent" with DOW in cooperation with Boulder County. <br />Joint meeting. Steve Baysinger announced that Lafayette would like to have a joint meeting with <br />LOSCAB and Rich Koopman, Resource Manager for Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department. <br />They are interested in January or February as a date. Steve Baysinger will set up the meeting. <br />CHIP grant. Steve Baysinger stated that CHIP (Coop. Habitat Improvement Program) has a grant <br />program. Submittal date is by the end of November. Their grants are for natural revegetation programs. <br />Steve Baysinger said he would look into an application for the City of Louisville. <br />Russian Olive problem. A discussion about the proliferation of Russian Olives was entertained. It was <br />agreed that Russian Olives along the City's ditches are a problem. Steve Baysinger agreed that Russian <br />Olive elimination in the Tamarisk open space would be a good idea. <br />Meeting times and locations. Steve Baysinger is working on getting a bigger room for the LOSCAB <br />meetings. So far, he has not had any luck on Monday nights. Via Appia. <br />
